B.S. Chemistry | University of New Haven (2020)
Maggie was born and raised in the small city of Bangor, Maine. She enjoyed watching crime procedural dramas growing up, and combined with her love of chemistry developed during high school, she decided to pursue undergraduate degrees in forensic science and chemistry. While at the University of New Haven, Maggie conducted research under the mentorship of Dr. Virginia M. Maxwell, where she characterized photofading behaviors of black dyes in fibers exposed to various environmental conditions. After graduating from the University of New Haven, Maggie decided to continue her studies at the University of Rhode Island, where she is now a student in the chemistry Ph.D. program.
When not in the lab, Maggie enjoys playing video games, baking, and jamming to pop punk and metalcore music—so if you have any recipe or band recommendations, feel free to send them her way!
