B.S. Chemistry | Worcester State University (2022)

Maggie was born and raised in Auburn, Massachusetts. She was homeschooled by her mom through the fifth grade, which included regular trips to the local science museum. In the 10th grade she discovered her passion for chemistry, and decided to pursue an undergraduate degree at Worcester State (WSU). During her time at WSU, she conducted research in analytical chemistry under the mentorship of Dr. Kathleen Murphy. Upon graduating from Worcester State, Maggie accepted a position at DuPont in Marlborough, where she assisted with the development of a thermally stable anti-tarnish post treatment for electroplated precious metals. During her time there, she decided to continue her studies at the University of Rhode Island, and is now a student in the chemistry Ph.D. program.

In her free time, Maggie enjoys spending time with her standard poodle Ollie, reading sci fi novels, and playing video games on her Nintendo Switch.
